FAQ
Everything people ask about COGHEIM — the world, the Striders, the economy, and how to get in early. Straight answers, no spin.
COGHEIM is a steampunk 4X MMO set on a compressed disc world in Year 2526. Instead of building a static city, you command a Strider — a massive moving fortress-city. Territory is never safe, because every empire is in motion.
Striders are the massive moving fortress-cities you command in COGHEIM. Each is a living city with its own crew, decks, and power core, and it walks across the world rather than sitting on a fixed plot.
There are five Strider classes: Bastion, Juggernaut, Scavenger, Vector, and Grindwalker. Each has a distinct heritage, power system, movement profile, and playstyle.
In most strategy MMOs your base is a fixed point on a shared map. In COGHEIM the whole city moves — so you can't capture a city, you have to catch it first. The chase comes before the war.
No. Real money never buys gameplay power in COGHEIM. Premium currency covers cosmetics, time-skips, the Battle Pass, and crew slots only, and no currency converts into any other.
COGHEIM is PC-first, with console planned to follow. A mobile companion app handles timers, repairs, resource collection, and march ETAs — it complements the game rather than replacing it.
COGHEIM is in active development. No release date has been announced. Enlist on the website to get first word on alpha invites, dev logs, and Strider reveals.
The pricing model has not been announced. Whatever it ends up being, real money never buys power — premium spend is limited to cosmetics, time-skips, the Battle Pass, and crew slots.
The MAXIOM is your wrist-mounted device. It keeps your empire's map, resources, build queue, crew log, and comms one glance away, on the move.
Yes. On PC your Strider has walkable interiors — command decks, crew quarters, and core systems you can move through — so your city is a place, not just a menu.
COGHEIM is developed by Limitless Game Makers LLC, a founder-led independent studio in the USA. 30% of the studio's net proceeds support Solitude Shore, its non-profit arm.
