Captain's Log
Yesterday was a test hull. Today it was the Grindwalker. We pulled six of its meshes into Unreal, gave the decks some collision, set it moving at a slow walk of about four metres a second, and I climbed aboard.
I stayed on for about two minutes before I stopped the session. The log has the line I wanted: boarded at frame zero, and no line saying I ever got knocked off. Two minutes does not sound like much. It is two minutes longer than any Strider has ever carried anyone.
I want to be careful about what this means. One ship, one player, nobody else in the world. It says nothing about two hundred people aboard or a server full of cities. But the ship I have been drawing and redrawing for weeks finally held me up while it moved, and I am going to let myself enjoy that for one night.
